In India, IT
companies are growing rapidly. If you see last year many Global IT heads
visited India. It is showing how Global CEOs are giving importance to expand
businesses in India. Last year in May 2015, Tim cook, the CEO of Apple Inc. visited
India followed by Mark Zuckerburg, the CEO of Facebook who visited in September,
and Sundar Pichai, the CEO of Google, visited India in last December. It shows
the importance that global giant companies like Google, Facebook and Microsoft
are showing to invest in India. India is the second largest smartphone market after
the United States. The internet users in India are expected to grow over 55% to
400 million in this year, said by Internet and Mobile Association of India. The
Indian government launched Digital India Program to reach the technology to
rural area to increase the technology implementation. Today, India is really taking
a step forward to get changed in the Digital world.
Microsoft tendency in India
In his last
visit, Satya Nadella who is an Indian-born American businessman announced a
single platform to bring together the entire data to help solve growing urban
problems and also he said about how technology is fostering a culture of
innovation to solve real-world problems and driving India's transformation. It
boosted the entrepreneurs and also Mobile apps development companies in Gurgaon, Noida, Cochin, Bangalore and across
India. The visit was all about giving importance to the current Indian tech eco-system.
Apple’s focus on market potential in
India
Tim Cook
visited India for the first time as Apple CEO in May 17, 2016. Apple is planning
to expand business in India, which is one of the fastest growing mobile markets
in the world. He met PM Mr. Modi and discussed about the Startup India,
especially about manufacturing and retailing of iPhone products in the country.
Apple is looking to start their own retail stores in India in the upcoming years.
And also he announced the first development center in India in Hyderabad, and
150 developers for Apple Maps (digital maps and navigation service), and Design
and Development Accelerator in Bengaluru. This will help developers across
India, including iOS Apps Developer inGurgaon, Noida, Delhi and Mumbai. This will help developers get innovative
ideas for mobile app development for iOS platform.
Google Plans to Expand Operations in
India
Google is having
increased faith in the Indian markets helping the growth of all sorts of business.
During his last visit, Mr. Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google said that the Google is
going to hire engineers, build open campus and increase its R&D facility in Bangalore.
Google is planning train around 2 million Android app Developers in India with the
collaboration of the Indian Government. Google's plan of the world's largest public Wi-Fi project
will cover 100 railway stations in India and it is already implemented in 10
railway stations like Mumbai Central Station, Pune, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Raipur, Ranchi, Vijayawada,
Kachiguda (Hyderabad), Ernakulam Junction (Kochi), and Vishakhapatnam regions.
The above
all are global tech CEOs’ plan to increase the engagement with existing customers,
acquire more customers and help India’s digital initiatives, so they chose
India as best market platform, this is why because India is rapidly increasing
the internet users. India is home for many global multinational companies.
Google, Microsoft, Flipkart, and Amazon are playing a major role in India’s tech
and e-commerce ecosystem. India has world's largest youth population, in which
50% of the population are under 25 age.
